Late surge leads No. 17 Vulcans past Shippensburg

The 17th-ranked California (PA) women’s basketball team found itself trailing 1-8 Shippensburg with two minutes remaining in the third quarter of Monday’s PSAC Crossover at the Convocation Center. Then head coach Jess Strom said they made a choice. “It’s simple, they chose to play defense,” Strom said with a smile.
