Status of Donora’s MMVTA representative in dispute

The status of Donora’s seat on the Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority board is up in the air, and the confusion only grows as more information is uncovered. Councilman Fred Berestecky has been the borough’s representative on the MMVTA board since October 2018. In October 2023, the authority sent the borough a letter stating that Berestecky’s term was about to expire and reminded council to appoint someone.
