LSA funds sought for Donora memorial

The AP Delsandro Committee has applied for grant funds through the Washington County LSA program to enter the third phase of its renovation project. The AP Delsandro Memorial in Donora has stood in memory of former mayor Albert P. Delsandro since the mid-1980s. His son, Tom Delsandro, and his nephew Ron Delsandro, are the committee co-directors. The memorial was demolished in 2016 after tree roots and weather damaged the masonry features at the site.
