Allegheny County: Pilot program to help with costs of child care

American Rescue Plan funding will benefit Allegheny County families with subsidized child care as an investment in a pilot program. The average cost for an infant care in Pennsylvania is $237 per week. Without some financial relief, the cost of child care can push people out of the workforce, continuing the region’s slow post-pandemic economic recovery.
