Area transportation leaders discuss benefits of proposed budget

Westmoreland County transportation leaders highlighted how Gov. Josh Shapiro’s budget proposal could benefit public transportation for county residents. At an event Thursday in Greensburg, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Secretary Mike Carroll, officials from the Westmoreland County Transit Authority and Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce spoke about the advantages of Shapiro’s budget proposal, which includes investments to transit agencies.
