The Monongahela Senior Center will soon receive a new air conditioning unit, as city council accepted a $38,000 bid Wednesday from Advanced Heating and Cooling Solutions to perform the installation.
Council also received two additional bids in the amounts of $72,843 and $47,192.
Councilman Mark Gadd made a motion to accept the lowest bid upon review of the solicitor, which passed unanimously.
Wednesday’s meeting began about 45 minutes late as council’s executive session ran from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Solicitor James McGraw announced that council will hold a special meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday “to address a couple of topics, one in particular that came up that’s rather timely that primarily came out of executive session.”
Council did not disclose any further details about the special meeting.
