Pemberton returned as MACC director in time for huge project

After the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce lost its second executive director in a matter of months, Dorothea Pemberton volunteered to take the job. “So I was talking to one of our board members and I said, ‘If you need help, I can help out in the evenings until you do find somebody,’” Pemberton said. “I don’t want our town to falter, and I don’t want our town to look like Monessen or Donora and (other) surrounding communities, because we’ve always had this. … Monongahela has always been like the nicest city in the Mon Valley, I think. But I’m biased; I live here.”
