Main Street Tavern owner David Ekves is determined to get his Monongahela establishment up and running again after it was ravaged by a fire three weeks ago. “I just renewed my liquor license. I’m not going anywhere,” Ekves said. “I am going to open back up.” The road to a reopening begins today as Main Street Tavern will host a fundraiser at Rippel’s on the Creek from 3 to 9 p.m. A $20 donation is required to attend, and a limited amount of tickets remain. More than 100 tickets have already been sold.
