Cook part of effort to simplify property tax/rent rebate program

A local state Representative is one of three lawmakers introducing a package of bills designed to reform and streamline the state’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. State Reps. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township, Rob Mercuri, R-Pine Township, and Jack Rader, R-Reeders, have sponsored bills that come on the heels of a law adopted last year that expanded income eligibility limits and increased the maximum rebates for senior citizens and people with disabilities across the state.
