Bruna Falbo – Monessen
Bruna Falbo, 100, of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on Dec. 1, 1923, in Monessen, daughter of the late Amadeo and Rita Bonari Lubrani. Bruna was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1941. She was a devoted member of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir. She held a special pride in her Tuscan heritage and was fluent in speaking and writing the Italian language. Her connection to her heritage was further enriched by her membership in the Italian Heritage Society. For many years, Bruna worked alongside her beloved husband at Falbo’s Restaurant in Monessen. Bruna enjoyed playing cards with friends in her card club, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed going to the casino. Above all else, she loved being with her family, especially during the celebration of her 100th birthday last December, where she spent time with her extended family. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Zubritsky Chelko of Erie; daughter and son-in-law, Carlyn and Gene Belczyk of Monessen; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Michele Falbo of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Amy (Pat) Lord, Jacob (Caroline) Belczyk, Rebecca Chelko, Joshua (Tonya) Belczyk, Elizabeth (Jason) Russell, Elaine (Josh) Tait and Bailey Falbo and fiancé Brandon Willis; 12 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Anthony, Ella, Hunter, Levi, Max, Isla, Sasha, Michael, Mila, Palladia and Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Louis S. Falbo; and two brothers, Julius and Frederic Lubrani. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, beginning in the funeral home with a blessing service at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Donora.
