NBV weather whistle causes alarm among residents

A severe weather alert whistle that sits atop the North Belle Vernon Borough municipal building caused a bit of confusion for residents when it went off in the early hours of the morning last week. 

The whistle, which was purchased and installed by the borough for around $17,000, has been ready to go for a few months.
