LETTER TO THE EDITOR
To the Editor:
I find the article entitled, “Kuzma pays $3K over ethics complaint” confusing at best and disingenuous in the least.
As someone who recently ran as a candidate for commissioner, I can tell you the paperwork being referred to in the article is meant to catch the corrupt politicians in their devious handling of finances.
Unfortunately, the career politicians have years of practice and crooked handlers who know how to hide dirty money.
So instead of catching the true corruption, these forms often catch the innocent mistakes of everyday citizens who are just trying to step up and make a difference in their local communities.
The political swamp weaponized the same form against me, forced me into a court case to defend myself, only to win and have the case dismissed in the end.
In my opinion, it looks like the same thing is happening to Rep. (Andrew) Kuzma.
His prior opposition filed this complaint against him, they dug under every rock looking for mistakes, only to find he saved the township millions in interest and took a summertime student internship making $15 an hour.
What a joke!
Why don’t we take all this investigative energy and try to focus on the real criminals? Our government is sadly brimming with them.
