LETTER TO THE EDITOR Judges are supposed to be unbiased

To the Editor:

In the past, judges were always expected to set aside personal views and rely on the interpretation of the law and remain fair and balanced even if they did not agree with the law.

Currently, way too many judges have simply thrown the law to the wind. Their personal political leaning, their interpretation of the law and downright disregard for it is too common today.

The current witch hunt against our former president is a classic example. Constitutional scholar after constitutional scholar has said that the judge in the hush money trial now should have recused himself. His unconstitutional rulings broadcast his political bias. His gag order against the former president and no one else shows explicitly he does not belong on the bench as a judge. His own daughter has raised millions attacking the former president and the judge has blown that off.

Those same scholars have said unequivocally this case — should Trump be convicted — will be overturned on appeal due to so many unconstitutional rulings by this judge. Judge Arthur Engoron, another biased left-wing judge, in a prior case of overvaluing real estate holdings by Trump, levied a $455 million fine for Trump. The bond was toned down because even the liberal New York courts saw how ridiculous that fine was. In comparison, Bernie Madoff, who embezzled billions of dollars, had a $10 million bond. Trump with no injured party losing any money at all yet his bond is $155 million.

It is pretty obvious what is going on here and these so called judges are actually left-wing political hacks that make up the law as they go along. If you don’t like it, tough, there ain’t nothing you can do about it.

As with the left wing Democrat elected officials, the judges, the president and the majority of the media follow their playbook. This is the party line and anyone who does not tow the line will be canceled. Even some letter writers are so obsessed with Trump and his supporters that they never write about anything else. Orange man bad! Make America great again bad! Anything conservative bad! Guns bad, God bad, other opinions — bad! The left is so negative, no wonder they act the way they do!
