John P. Jasinski
DONORA, FORMERLY OF MONONGAHELA John P. Jasinski, 100, of Donora and formerly of Monongahela, passed away peace fully on Satur day, May 18, 2024, in his home. Born Oct. 23, 1923, in Braddock, he was the son of the late Stephen and Michlena Jasinski. John was a 1941 graduate of the former Fellsburg High School. He worked at U.S. Steel’s Donora Mill until its closing and then Christy Park in McKeesport, retiring as a foreman. After graduating from high school, John joined the U.S Army and served during World War II in the 505th parachute infantry, 82nd Airborne during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St. Dominic’s Mens’ Club in Donora and enjoyed shooting pool around the area and taking his family on vacations to Ocean City. John is survived by his wife, Eunice M. (Meates) Jasinski; a son, Steve
