Donora River Terminal sponsors Music in the Park
Mt. Vernon Church, 2200 Greenock Buena Vista Road, McKeesport, will have a strawberry festival from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Included will be food and strawberry desserts featuring Triple B Farm strawberries. A basket raffle will also be held.

The Donora Smog Commemorative Committee will present Music in the Park with Variety Pack (music from the’50s to today) from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday on the Damon Garde Stage of Palmer Park, Donora.
The event is sponsored by the Donora River Terminal. Those planning to attend can pack a cooler, blankets or chairs and back their car down to the concert.
Belle Vernon VFC to hold barbecue pork chop dinner
The Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Co., 10 Main St., will have a barbecue pork chop dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Debit and credit cards will be accepted. For takeout, call 724-929-5511.
The Mazeroskis to perform at Renzie Park on Sunday
The Carnegie Library of McKeesport and the McKeesport Music Club will present music with The Mazeroskis 7 p.m. Sunday on at the Lions Bandshell in Renziehausen Park, McKeesport.
Crime Solvers to meet at Monongahela library
The Crime Solvers Club will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St. This club is for those who are always skipping ahead in the latest thriller because they know how it will end. Suggested ages are 18 and older.
