Stranger things
To the Editor:
What credibility? Credibility is not a familiar word in Donald Trump’s limited vocabulary. Terms like trust worthiness, reliability, integrity and reputation come to mind when we consider an individual with credibility.
Lacking credibility is at the crux of all of Trump’s trials and tribulations in every aspect of his life — family, friends, acquaintances, business associates and more recently his role as a former “leader” of our nation. If he is ever put on the witness stand at one of his numerous trials, will he prove us wrong? He will prove what we already know — he lacks trustworthiness, integrity reliability and has a reputation that is tarnished. Trump cannot be believed or trusted. May his dedicated but confused disciples come to that realization before the clock strikes 12.

To the Editor:
Some very strange things are happening lately. A former president of the United States was found guilty of 34 felony counts, however, this is not the strangest part. Though he was truly guilty, the newly formed Republican party seems to like him that much more.
They will give you lots of reasons why the judicial system and our democracy in this country is not working, even to say such outrageous things as witch hunts. As for myself, I haven’t seen any flying brooms or hags riding them.
Some say that there should not be any stiff sentence, being he has no past record. Now that seems very strange in that a civil jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming a journalist, he was impeached, and has an ongoing voting tampering or interference case in Georgia.
In trying to understand these events, I felt this new group of Republicans were just a bunch of sissies afraid of the white supremacists following Trump, but there must be something more sinister. Please recall all that time him saying what a great man Putin was and then something came to me: How did Putin get to the position he has? He formed a group to support him no matter what he does and gets rid of those who oppose. Is it not so strange then that we have the American Republican party an a new Communist-style Republican party with a group under supervision of the oath keepers and proud boys to keep their master in power. So it would only be certain, should Trump become our new president, we should learn how to say “Bump up Trump” as if we are Russians saluting Putin. In closing, I’m saying, if you are a woman, you know how he feels about your worth.
If you are a Black, you know what is meant by the words of white supremacists. If you are old, do you need a Social Security check and Medicare?
If you are a member of the military, are you glad you guard this country and are you willing to be a hero if necessary? If you are a police officer, do you protect and keep us safe?
Good. You decide who you want leading the country.
