Bishop Phelan Assembly 911 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of the Mon Valley will hold its June monthly meeting Thursday at the Charleroi Knights of Columbus Council Hall, in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish School, located on the corner of Washington Avenue and Sixth Street in Charleroi. Recitation of the rosary will begin at 7:10 p.m. followed by the business meeting at 7:30 p.m.
At this meeting, the last of the 2023-24 fraternal year that ends June 30, retiring assembly officers and assembly service program personnel will be recognized and thanked for their service. On July 1, the new 2024-25 fraternal year begins and all recently elected officers and recently appointed service program personnel will begin their respective positions.
All assembly officers and members are strongly encouraged to attend this important meeting.
Monongahela library to hold summer reading adult bingo
A summer reading adult bingo will be held during library hours Friday at the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St.
Participants can collect an adult bingo sheet to win two prizes. Fill it out with bingo and return to collect a prize. Fill out the whole sheet to win two prizes. One bingo card per patron. Summer reading concludes July 27. Turn in the bingo card before the end of summer reading. The program is for ages 18 and older.
‘Wonka’ to be shown for California movie night
June movie night will be held 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Hollywood pavilion, 313 Third St., California.
Sponsored by the California Borough Recreation Authority, “Wonka” will be presented. Bring a chair and blanket. Free popcorn will be available.

Tom Petty tribute next in series of Aquatorium concerts
The next in the Rockin’ on the Mon concerts will be held 6 p.m. Saturday at the Noble J. Dick Aquatorium, 200 Railroad St. Featured will be a Full Moon Fever-Tom Petty tribute. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the gate or eventbrite.com.

Michael Moorer to join Monessen Community Day
Join Michael Moorer as he celebrates his international boxing Hall of Fame induction from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday during Monessen Community Day at Monessen City Park amphitheater.
There will be food vendors, ice cream truck, activities for the family and meet and greet with Michael Moorer.

13th annual all-Bellmar reunion scheduled
Plans are underway for the 13th annual all-Bellmar reunion. This year’s event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Saint Spyridon Hellenic Center, 119 St. Spyridon Lane, Monessen. Anyone attending Bellmar High School from 1952 through 1967 is invited to participate. Each alumnus can bring a guest. The event is open to anyone who attended or graduated from Bellmar High School. Former teachers are also invited. Cost is $30 per person. Dinner, provided by By George Catering, will be served at 4 p.m.
Bellmar High School evolved through the creation of the Bellmarette Joint School District that was formed in 1951 by a merger involving Marion and Vernon High Schools. The first graduating class was in 1952 and the last as Bellmar High School was in 1965. Bellmar and Rostraver school districts merged in 1965 to form the current Belle Vernon Area School District.

CROWN to hold half-the-take raffle
Community Revitalization of West Newton (CROWN) will hold a half-the-take at 8 p.m. July 20 at Vine Street Park, West Newton. Golf balls will be loaded into a bucket truck and dropped onto a bullseye. Closest to the center is the winner. Cost is $5 a ball.
