Ida’s Sauerkraut Salad is still a family favorite

At a recent family gathering, three different people brought a big bowl of my mother’s sauerkraut salad. Long after my mother, Frances Ida Busch, has gone on to that big kitchen in the sky, her salad recipe remains popular with “Ida’s” descendants. This easy to make and delicious recipe is an especially popular food at our summertime picnics, though it shows up at family gatherings throughout the year.
