Regent Debbie Genemore welcomed members and opened the meeting with the flag pledge and opening ode. A roll call of officers showed all were present.
A pro-life rosary, Holy Mary, Mother of Light, was prayed.
Minutes of the May meeting were read by Recording Secretary Pat Godla. The treasurer’s report was given by Betty Geis.
Education Chairman Godla reported Sara Stein’s poetry entry was selected as a firstplace winner at the state level. Judging/voting on a national level will be held at the convention. Cheryl McLaughlin won second place on the state level for her photography entry and Nina Francia was rhe state third-place winner in the essay division III group.
Mary’s Garden had a new trellis installed.
The 36th annual outdoor rosary will be held 7:30 p.m. July 9 at St. Mary’s Garden. The rosary is open to the public and all are invited to attend. Participants should bring their own lawn chairs and a social will follow in the church hall. In the event of inclement weather, the rosary will be held in the church hall.
The Parish Festival will be held Aug. 2 and 3. More details will follow in the church bulletin.
Birthdays for June, July and August were celebrated and gifts were presented.
Genemore concluded the meeting with the Diocesan prayer for eucharistic revival and closing ode. An ice cream social was hosted by Gloria White, Mary Smereczniak and Cheryl McClintock.
The next gathering will be held Sept. 17 and will include installation of officers.
