New Eagle man dies in water skiing accident on Monongahela River
Coroner Tim Warco said Jarred Feschuk collided with a docked boat.
A New Eagle man died in a water skiing accident Saturday morning in Washington County, according to county Coroner Tim Warco.
Warco said Jarred Feschuk, 39, was water skiing on the Monongahela River near West Brownsville when he collided with a docked boat at 10:13 a.m.
Feschuk was transported to Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital’s emergency department, where he was pronounced dead at 11:16 a.m. Saturday.
West Brownsville Fire Department and Brownsville EMS responded to the accident, which is being investigated by the state Fish and Boat Commission.
Visitation for Feschuk will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the David Henney Funeral Home, located at 6364 Library Road in South Park Township.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the same location.

There were also eight fatalities in 2023, Parker said, and there are an average of 10 each year.
