Kelly McCloskey – Belle Vernon
Kelly McCloskey, 66, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 20, 1958, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Joan Nogy McCloskey. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 35 years, Mr. McCloskey was a member of Fells United Methodist Church. Mr. McCloskey retired as an electrical engineer for Allegheny Power and West Penn Power and was currently a bus driver for the Belle Vernon Area School District. Kelly was an Eagle Scout and served as a past leader for Boy Scout Troop 1005 in Washington, Pa. He enjoyed working in his yard, camping and fixing old cars and was a member of the 10th Street Athletic Club in Charleroi. He is survived by his wife, Marla Faust McCloskey, to whom he was married 34 years; five children, Joel Houston and companion Stephanie of Centerville, Keven and Alicia McCloskey of Rostraver Township, Mitchell and Alexa McCloskey of Smithton, Matthew McCloskey of Fallowfield Township and Sarah McCloskey of Rostraver Township; three grandchildren, Bryson Houston, Alyse McCloskey and Clayton McCloskey; brother and sister- in-law Scott and Jennifer McCloskey of Hunker; sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Jim Kauffman of Greensburg; and his pet dogs, Ace, Rocky, Luke, Nyx and Sephy. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-9296183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC. with Pastor Kim Foos of Fells United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Kelly McCloskey to Tunnel to Towers or to St. Jude’s Hospital.
