Diabetes, obesity and thyroid disease topics of next Innovations in Medicine Programming at Penn Highlands Mon Valley
Innovations in Medicine, the community programming that Penn Highlands Mon Valley has been offering to residents of the region for more than 15 years, continues in August.
Dr. Janelle Violago, an endocrinologist with Penn Highlands Endocrinology in Monongahela, and Jamie Varley, CRNP, will present a program titled, “Diabetes, Obesity and Thyroid Disease: What You Need to Know” at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Center on the campus of Penn Highlands Mon Valley.
Violago is a board-certified endocrinologist with more than two decades of experience. She provides patients with highly specialized care for the endocrine system, a network of glands that produce and release hormones that control everything from how your body uses energy from food to your immune system.
Refreshments will be served and giveaway items will be shared. Parking is free.
