Fire rages in Fallowfield Township

Several departments responded to an abandoned structure fire in Fallowfield Township Sunday night. The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Fourth Street extension. Fallowfield Township VFC called Charleroi, Lock No. 4, Stockdale and Monessen No. 1 in for mutual aid. Bentleyville Fire Rescue responded for Rapid Intervention. Flames could be seen above the tree line from neighboring homes, and crews worked until after 11 p.m. to contain the blaze. Nearby roads were closed as crews fought the fire.
