Phyllis Ann Hickok – Monongahela
Phyllis Ann Hickok, 70, of Monongahela, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024. The daughter of the late Paul and Shirley Putra, she was born on May 21, 1954, in Irwin. A 1972 graduate of Norwin High School, Phyllis went on to Shadyside Hospital for nursing school, graduating in 1974. She was a dedicated nurse in various hospitals for over 45 years, retiring from Monongahela Valley Hospital. Phyllis was an accomplished chef, known for many lavish Christmas parties, and was an accomplished artist, doing amazing decorative, lifelike murals in homes. All will remember her dry sense of humor and quick wit. Survivors include her uncle, Richard Ocker and wife Sally of Youngstown, Ohio; six cousins; and her loving partner in life, Dr. S.P. Hewie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two aunts and one uncle.
