Drug and alcohol board to meet Monday
Free Indeed Ministry, 401 Second St., Monongahela, will host an outreach car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dierken’s Pharmacy parking lot, across from Sheetz in Monongahela. The donation is $10, and prayer will be available to anyone who requests it. All youth and adults are encouraged to participate in this fun fellowship. White Oak Seniors to meet on Wednesday
The White Oak Senior Activities group will hold a meeting 1 p.m. Wednesday at the White Oak Community Center, 1798 Lower Heckman Road.
Magician/comedian Dan Kuniak will entertain with audience participation.
Monongahela library’s Book Bites Club meets Thursday
The Book Bites Club will meet 1 p.m. Thursday at the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela. Chosen options for August are “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman and “Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay and a Mother’s Will to Survive” by Stephanie Land.
Monessen planning Community Flea Market
A Monessen Community Flea Market is being planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7 at the corner of Donner Avenue and Fifth Street.
Table spaces will be $10 (participants bring their own table) and $20 for a food truck space. A registration form can be obtained at www.cityofmonessen.com.
The event will be held rain or shine and will benefit the Monessen Civic Center.

Community Day event set at cfsbank Event Center
A Community Day event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at cfsbank Event Center, 111 Gallitin Road, Rostraver Township.
There is no cost. Activities for all ages will include ice skating, live music, face painting and more. All families are welcome.
