Friends of Monessen library to meet Monday
The Rostraver Township Lions will hold a barbecue from 11 a.m. to sellout Saturday at the Howard Hanna Simon Real Estate Services parking lot, 1751 Rostraver Road.
The Rostraver Township Lions will hold a barbecue from 11 a.m. to sellout Saturday at the Howard Hanna Simon Real Estate Services parking lot, 1751 Rostraver Road.
Meals are $10 for chicken or pork steaks, $15 for a half-rack and $25 for a full rack of ribs. All dinners include the choice of applesauce or baked beans, along with a dinner roll, dessert and a drink.
Ribs and pork steaks are limited, so preorders of three or more dinners are recommended by 7 p.m. Friday by calling or texting Lion Bob Mesher at 724-323-5458.
All proceeds of the various Lions projects help the community.
The Friends of the Monessen Public Library will hold a meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday at the library. The main agenda topic will be the library luncheon, and tickets will be distributed to the members. The public can order tickets for the library luncheon at the library or from a Friend. Anyone with questions can call Karen Cosner at 724-684-3157.

Archbishop Elko Donora Knights of Columbus Council 1941 will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the K of C room, located in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Park Manor Road, Donora.
