Fire damages home in Fallowfield Township
Fallowfield Township firefighters were called to a house fire about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Rogers Manor section. Thanks to a crew at the Fallowfield station and quick response by mutual aid departments, the fire was quickly extinguished. “Once again, a staffed firehouse has paid off for our township residents. Thanks again to the Fallowfield Township supervisors for recognizing the need for the duty-shift program and other programs we have adopted…with some time and repair, this family will be back in the place they call home,” the Fallowfield VFC posted on its Facebook page Friday evening. Assisting at the scene were firefighters from Charleroi, Lock 4, Stockdale and Bentleyville Fire-Rescue. No injuries were reported. Wayne E. Ray / For the Mon Valley Independent
