Bellmar Class of 1958 meeting for dinner
The McKeesport Al-Anon group will meet at noon Tuesday at Beulah Park United Methodist Church on Grandview Avenue.

Al-Anon is a support and educational group for relatives and friends of problem drinkers. The group meets on Tuesdays unless otherwise noted.
Bellmar High School Class of 1958 will hold a dinner meeting 5 p.m. Thursday at Hill’s Restaurant in Monongahela. All classmates are welcome.
Free Narcan drive-through event set in Monessen
A community Narcan and drug deactivation bag distribution drive-through, sponsored by the Westmoreland Drug and Alcohol Commission and Mon Valley Opioid Coalition, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schooner Center parking lot, 701 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen. It is a free event for anyone interested in being Narcan trained or accessing harm-reduction materials. A rain date of Sept. 3 has been set at the same time and location.

Dancing Queen to perform at Elizabeth concert
Dancing Queen will perform at the next Elizabeth Area Development Corporation free concert at 6 p.m. Thursday on Plum Street in Elizabeth.

Thrift store to hold customer appreciation day
A customer appreciation day (10 items of clothing for $1) will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Care & Share thrift store at California United Methodist Church, 227 Third St., across from the Dairy Queen in California.

Blood drive to be held at Dee’s Event Center
A Vitalant Mon Valley Blood Drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dee’s Event Center, 514 McKean Ave., Charleroi. To schedule an appointment to donate, go to vitalant.org and search with account code UC0700063 or call 1-877-25VITAL.
Garden workshop to be held at Elizabeth Township municipal building
A free garden workshop: Watersheds & Rain Barrels will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Elizabeth Township Municipal Building, 522 Rock Run Road. The workshop is open to Elizabeth, Clairton and Forward Township (Allegheny County) area residents only.
The workshop is held by Pennsylvania Resources Council Education staff, community environmental program and HHW disposal, and is sponsored by the Pennsylvania American Water and Eden Hall Foundation. Those attending will receive a free 55-gallon rain barrel and a $20 HHW coupon.

Mon Valley YMCA hosting annual Doggie Paddle
The Mon Valley YMCA, 101 Taylor Run Road, Carroll Township, will sponsor its annual Doggie Paddle, with special guests Mon Valley Paws, at the outdoor pool.
The event will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday for dogs 30 pounds and under and at the same time Thursday for dogs over 30 pounds. The cost is $5 a pup.

Renzie market to be open Thursday
The Renzie market will be open from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the lot behind the McKeesport Fire Department Station No. 2 in Renziehausen Park.
With fresh produce from McKeesport’s own CCR Gardens as the market’s centerpiece, it also includes a variety of plants, crafts, handmade housewares, baked goods, snacks and entertainment. The August market features hot food items from Hi Eatery and entertainment by the Seams.

The West Newton First Church of God will hold its peach festival fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lions field house, 551 Pittsburgh St., West Newton.

The Crime Solvers Club will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela. The club is for ages 18 and older and meets monthly.

Food trucks rescheduled to Thursday in McKeesport
Mobile food trucks will be onsite Thursday at McKeesport United Methodist churches as follows:
• Beulah Park — 1615 Grandview Ave., 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Christy Park — 436 29th St., 1 to 2 p.m.
• West Side — 307 Atlantic Ave., 2 to 2:45 p.m.
The events are originally scheduled for the third Thursday of the month but are being held two weeks later in August, due to the availability of the food truck.
