Allison Lescanac Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1190 will meet 7 p.m. Thursday at the Monessen Fire Department No. 1 meeting room on Donner Avenue. All members are urged to attend. The California farmers market finale will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Hollywood pavilion, 313 Third St., California. There is no entry charge.
Senior Expo set for Friday in Elizabeth Borough
State Rep. Andrew Kuzma, R-Elizabeth Township, will co-host a Senior Expo with state Sen. Jim Brewster, D-McKeesport, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Elizabeth Fire Hall, 101 S. First St., Elizabeth.
More than 30 vendors and representatives from local and state agencies will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on topics such as Social Security, transportation, Medicare, legal services, in-home services, legislation, consumer protection and long-term care.
Donora legion auxiliary to meet Friday
Members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 212, Donora, will hold its monthly meeting 6:45 p.m. Friday at the post on Meldon Avenue in Donora.
Street food festival to be held at aquatorium
A street food festival, including music and food, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Noble J. Dick Aquatorium, 200 Railroad St., Monongahela. There is no entry charge.
Plant and craft sale Saturday at Renzie arboretum and rose garden
The Garden Club of McKeesport will host a fall plant and craft sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Renziehausen Park Rose Garden and Arboretum 1400 Pinoak Drive, McKeesport.

Community festival to be held in West Newton
Community Revitalization of West Newton (CROWN) is sponsoring the 38th annual community festival at Vine Street Park.
Hours will be from noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Included will be food trucks, crafters, basket auction, games, dunk tank, face painting and more.
The schedule will run as follows: Performance by Part Time Cowboys from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday; Lucky Me from 1 to 4 p.m., parade at 5 p.m., pie-eating contest at 5:30 p.m., Saddle Up from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., all on Saturday; worship at 10:30 a.m. and exotic animal show from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
All events are free. The West Newton Church of God will have a booth at the festival from noon until sellout on Saturday selling hoagies for $7. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Navajo mission trip.

Community UM church to host fall festival
The United Methodist Women of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church will hosting a fall fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (rain or shine), in the parking lot of Community United Methodist Church, 100 Timothy Drive, Elizabeth.
There will be over 25 crafters and vendors participating, plus a variety of food trucks and activities for children. A new addition this year will be a basket auction.

Olive Branch church to host used-clothing sale
The Olive Branch Baptist Church, 296 Route 981, Rostraver Township, will hold a used-clothing sale from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Donations of clean, used clothing can be dropped off at the back of the church in black plastic bags.
Mt. Vernon church to hold barbecue
Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 2200 Greenock Buena Vista Road, will have a barbecue from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Included will be ribs, chicken, pulled pork, side dishes, desserts, a basket raffle and music. Takeouts will be available.

Taste the Spirits Fall Festival set for Saturday
Taste the Spirits Fall Festival, sponsored by the Valley Inn Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Valley Inn Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 34 Snyder Ave., Monongahela. Admission is $10. Included will be local wineries, distilleries and breweries, charcuterie board judging, basket auction, 50/50 and door prizes. Live music will be performed by Periscope.
