Community Day to be held at cfsbank Event Center
The Monongahela Area Library will hold a Fall Fest: DIY Crafting, Fall into a Book Giveaway from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Stop at the library to make a craft and pick up a wrapped book for free. Activities will also be held during these hours.

Shops and organizations in town will be celebrating fall with special features such as guest vendors, sales and more at each location, along with the Street Food Festival being held at the Monongahela Aquatorium from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A Community Day event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at cfsbank Event Center, 111 Gallitin Road, Rostraver Township. Included will be face painting, free ice skating, character drawings, balloon twisting, DJ, Kona ice truck, vendors and more.
St. Dominic Men to meet Sunday
St. Dominic’s Men’s Club will meet 1 p.m. Sunday at the club, 601 Thompson Ave., Donora.
Buena Vista VFC holding car, truck and bike show
The 19th annual Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Co. car, truck and bike show will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at 3333 Fire Station St., Buena Vista.
There is no vehicle registration fee, but donations are appreciated. Trophies will be awarded. Newer cars are welcome. Food and beverages and a 50/50 will be sold. There will be a basket auction. DJ Georgio will provide the music.
Monongahela library board to meet Monday
The Monongahela Area Library board will meet 10 a.m. Monday at the library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela.
CWCC to meet Monday
The Catholic Women’s College Club will meet 6 p.m. Monday at the picnic area of St. Andrew the Apostle, Second Street Extension, Donora. Please consider bringing donations of cat and/or dog foods for local pet shelters.
Artists, crafters and vendors sought for Greenock Log House Days
Artists, crafters and vendors are needed for Greenock Log House Days being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 (rain or shine) at the log house, 1235 Greenock Buena Vista Road, McKeesport (Elizabeth Township). EADC to host Murder Mystery Dinner Shoot Out
The Elizabeth Area Development Corporation will host its second annual Murder Mystery Dinner Shoot Out at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Youghiogheny Country Club.
Tickets can be purchased at Barton’s Flowers and Bake Shop, Graceful Style, Rockwell’s Red Lion, Simply You Soap & Candle Co. and Snowy’s Chocolates.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Elizabeth Township’s Light Up Night being held on Nov. 10.
Voter registration event to be held in McKeesport
A Rally in the Valley will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Noah’s Ark Community Center, 200 Sixth St., McKeesport.
The goal of the event is to reach churches, organizations and individuals throughout the Mon Valley to provide voter registration and education. Several candidates will attend and speak briefly.
Mingo park to host star parties
Public star parties will be held at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Mingo Creek County Park, located off Route 136 in Finleyville. Night sky observing will be at 8 p.m.
