White Oak seniors to have Medicare seminar

The White Oak Senior Activities group will meet 1 p.m. Wednesday at the White Oak Community Center, on Lower Heckman Road. A seminar on Medicare will be held.
Flu prevention tips to be given at Rostraver library
The Rostraver Public Library, 700 Plaza Drive, Rostraver Township, will have a program on flu prevention tips 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. A representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Health will attend.
Westmoreland caregivers to meet Wednesday
The Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging will hold its monthly caregiver support group meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the McKenna Center for Active Adults, 971 Old Salem Road, Greensburg.
Cheryl Gatons from CarePatrol will be the guest speaker and will discuss how to choose the right senior care option.

Dine and Donate for MV Paws in September
Mon Valley Paws will sponsor a dine and donate event this month at Felicia’s restaurant, 450 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen. The dinner will consist of a spaghetti dinner, salad, bread, meatball and drink.
For tickets, at $14, contact Randy at 724493-8305. The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Takeouts will be available from Wednesday through Sunday.
Vendors/participants needed for Bentleyville Halloween parade
Food and craft vendors are needed for the Bentleyville Halloween parade being held at 1 p.m. Oct. 26.
Also wanted are individuals, groups, organizations, antique cars and floats to participate in the parade. Cash prizes will be awarded as follows: first place, $50; second, $30, third, $20; best group. $50 and best float, $50.

Penn Highlands to hold M&R Chocolates sale
An M&R Chocolates sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Penn Highlands Mon Valley, 1163 Country Club Road, Carroll Township.

The sale is a fundraiser for the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Auxiliary.
Outreach car wash set for Saturday in Monongahela
Free Indeed Ministry, 401 Second St., Monongahela, will host an outreach car wash, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Dierken’s Pharmacy, across from Sheetz in Monongahela.
The donation amount will be $10, and prayer will be offered to those who request it.
