The Charleroi High School Soccer Hall of Fame will induct its 58th member Tuesday when the Cougars host Derry at Myron Pottios Stadium.

Spending most of his career at fullback, Marraccini’s coach John Kruzcek called Marraccini “a team player that would do what was needed to help the team win. He could play wherever he was needed to play. An ultimate team player.”
After his playing days at Charleroi, he went on to play for the Dunlevy Redbirds senior team.
In the early 1980s, he coached the Monongahela 18u team and had two undefeated seasons to win division titles both years.
Marraccini later moved to Reno, Nev. in 1987 and went on to play in the Mexican Soccer League for five years.
In 1999, Marraccini moved back to the Mon Valley and began playing for the Mon Valley United Over-30 and Over-40 team.
He played for the Mon Valley United Over-50 team before finally hanging up his cleats for good in 2022.
While Marraccini starred on the soccer field, he also ran track for two years. He competed in the 100- and 220-meter dash as well as being a member of the 880-meter relay team.
Marraccini was employed by McHolme Construction for 17 years. He now resides in Charleroi.
