Sheila Elaine Reabe – Charleroi
Sheila Elaine Reabe, 58, of Charleroi, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 9, 2024. Born in North Charleroi on March 17, 1966, Sheila was the daughter of the late Howard E. Reabe and Eleanor Marie Cekus, who survives. Sheila enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army, loved Snoopy from the show “Peanuts,” spending time with her beloved cats, Snoopy and Angel, and her three favorite holidays, Saint Patrick’s Day, Christmas and Halloween. Sheila also loved rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and will be remembered by many for her delicate care as a nursing home caretaker for several years. Surviving to cherish Sheila’s memory are her mother, Eleanor Kenny; stepfather, Norman Kenny; her sister, Debbie Reabe; her brother, David Reabe; her aunts, Judith Lynn Zewe, Martha Ellen Mulholland and Mary Gallagher; her cousin, April Ronick Wokaly; her cousin-in-law, Dedra Fritch; and her numerous cousins. In addition to her father, Sheila was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Brandon; paternal grandmother, Helen Kollessar Reabe; maternal grandfather, Bill Cekus; her maternal grandmother, Sue Pachuta Cekus; grandparents, Norman Sr. and Martha Kenny; two aunts, Betty Cekus Ronick and Evelyn Cekus Martin; uncle, Dennis Zewe; and cousins, Donna Zewe and William Fritch. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at HOGAN- MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A blessing service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, inside the funeral home at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to The Salvation Army in Sheila’s memory.
