State to provide substance use disorder recovery service grants

Interested organizations must apply by Nov. 15.

The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs announced that two recovery support services in Allegheny County for people in recovery from substance use disorder will receive grants worth up to $1.5 million.

About six grants in total will be distributed throughout the county, as there’s $9 million in available funding. Support services in Washington and Fayette counties, along 15 others with an overdose crude death rate higher than the state average,...
