Mozer: Monessen won’t finish 2024 with deficit
The city’s current shortfall of more than $100,000 will be covered with line usage money.
Monessen’s financial situation doesn’t concern Mayor Ron Mozer as he expects the city to erase its deficit before the year’s end.
“We will make it this year. I have no doubt in my mind. I believe that with all my heart,” Mozer said at Thursday’s council meeting.
Councilman Tony Orzechowski said the deficit is currently somewhere between $100,000 and $125,000.
