Patricia Ann Truskey – Long Branch
Patricia Ann Truskey, 88, of Long Branch, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Va lley Hospital. A daughter of the late Edythe M . Crouch, she was born in Charleroi on April 10, 1936. A member of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church in California, she was a longterm CCD teacher. Patricia worked for Albert Gallatin as a visiting nurse, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her famous Jewish brownies and her traditional Christmas Eve dinner with “sour soup.” Survivors include her husband, Elmer L. Truskey, to whom she was married 69 years; a daughter, Colleen Haftman of Charleroi; a daughter-inlaw, Lisa Truskey (Gary) of Coal Center; two grandchildren, Dr. Lauren (Nick) Truskey- Longo of Philadelphia, and Daniel John Truskey Jr. (Charhea) of Coal Center; two sisters, Donna Boulanger and Linda Bove; and a longtime friend, Shirley Zippay. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Truskey, in 2021; a son-in-law, Tim Haftman; and a sister, Barbie Redding. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, with the Rev.
