• Minor flooding hit the lower lying area of the Mon Valley after the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers crested about 6 inches above flood levels. National Weather Service meteorologist Lee Hendricks said the worst of the flooding is over. The flooding caused the Corps of Engineers to close Lock Number Four in North Charleroi and Lock Three in Elizabeth. Bunola River Road from Elizabeth to Forward Township, a span of four miles, was also closed.
