Andrew J. Koltash – Perryopolis, Perry Township
Andrew J. Koltash, 77, of Perryopolis, Perry Township, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley , Monongahela . Born June 5, 1947, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late John Koltash Jr. and Susan M. Gazdick Koltash. A resident of Perryopolis for the past 44 years, Mr. Koltash was a retired wireman and motor inspector for U.S. Steel Clairton Works with 34 years of service and was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. Until complications from diabetes restricted his mobility, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Andrew was happiest working on his farm, enjoyed raising beef cattle, peafowl and maintaining his koi pond. Andrew and Mary Ann enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe, often playing in invitational video poker tournaments, until travel became too difficult. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Rosul Koltash to whom he was married to for 54 years, son Kevin John Koltash of Monessen, special sister-in-law, Susan VanMeter of Granville, Ohio; special nephew, Richard Rosul of Scottdale; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and motherin- law, Michael and Margaret Rosul; two brothers-in-law, Gregory L. Rosul, Michael P. Rosul; niece Angie Lauer; favorite cats, Harry, Mario, Cheyenne; and favorite dog, Jezebel.
