Barron W. ‘Butch’ Douglass
ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP Barron W. “Butch’’ Douglass, 87, of Elizabeth Township, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, in Dunlevy Manor Personal Care Home. Born in Eliza beth on Sept. 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Elisha Barron and Jean Warren Douglass. Butch was a crane operator for Local 66. He grew up on a farm and helped with all the farm work and continued his hard-working ethic throughout his life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Ann (Jim) Shawl of Lower Speers and Shelly (Gil) Arredondo of Bentleyville; granddaughter, Rachel Dobrinski; great-grandchildren, Taylor Morrison, Nathan Morrison, Kendall Morrison, Ryan McDonald, Charlie Dobrinski and Barron Dobrinski; and sister-inlaw, Nancy Sleith of Forward Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Harriet E. Gamble Douglass; and granddaughter, Meredith Ann McDonald, both in 2022.
