Tables were beautifully decorated with fresh poinsettias and other Christmas decor. Members enjoyed a buffet dinner catered by La Cuisine while they mingled and socialized.
After dinner, President Helen Bednarczyk called the meeting to order and thanked December committee members Dottie Bewick, Mary Ducato-Caley and Dorothy Ghilani for hosting this month’s meeting. She welcomed member Marie Feick’s grandmother Sophia Piscitelli.
Minutes were read from the last meeting, and the treasurer’s report was given. Both were approved as read.
Committee reports were discussed. The scholarship committee will meet to discuss the protocol for the club’s scholarship, which will be presented at the April meeting. Correspondences were read from the food banks that received the club’s donations.
The CWCC Charitable service recipients for December were Light of Life and City Missions, where checks were sent on the club’s behalf. Members were encouraged to perform individual acts of charitable service for the month of December.
Bednarczyk read a Christmas prayer before closing the meeting.
Feick won the gift of the month.
Following the meeting, the women played Christmas games for prizes and held their gift exchange. Everyone enjoyed a merry time in the spirit of Christmas.
