Monessen School District has placed a staff member on leave as it investigates alleged “inappropriate physical contact of a non-sexual nature” between an employee and student.
In a statement, Superintendent Dr. Robert Motte said the student was not harmed.
The staff member will be on leave until the conclusion of the investigation.
“Monessen School District takes all reports of this nature seriously. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students remains our top priority,” Motte said.
The district will not provide any further information because it’s a personnel issue.
