Shirley Ann Hussar Granato, 83, of Coal Center, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, at her home. Born Jan. 27, 1942, in North Belle Vernon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Pobak Hussar. A resident of Coal Center for the past 55 years, Mrs. Granato was a member of HOPE Center Church in Belle Vernon. Shirley owned the former Granny’s Nook Care Home, was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her husband, David F. Granato, to whom she was married for 65 ½ years; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Danielle Granato of Coal Center; two daughters and son-in-law, Pam Mc-Clelland of Coal Center, and Robin and Mark Marchesini of Belle Vernon; brother, Larry Hussar of Belle Vernon; sister-in-law, Dolores Hussar of Warren, Ohio; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son, David Granato; and brother, Alvin Hussar. Services will be private for the family.
