Carole A. Wilson – Bethel Park

Carole A. Wilson of Bethel Park, formerly of Monongahela, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. She was born in Johnstown, Pa., to parents James and Julia Coleman. Raised in Finleyville, Pa., Carole graduated from Monongahela High School, Class of 1957. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Finleyville, where she served different positions as her mother did before her. She also attended regularly at New Jacobs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Clermont, Fla. Carole married Richard Wilson Sr. on Feb. 1, 1958. As their family grew, both parents were involved with the many activities the children were involved in. Time was of no concern and there was always enough energy to be sure the children had all they needed. Carole worked for Collegeville Costume Co. in Collegeville, Pa., as a seamstress. She later worked for SKC in Ventia, Pa., where she later retired.

In recent years, Carole enjoyed being a “snow bird,” traveling and staying in the Orlando, Fla., area with her daughter and son-in-law. Carole is survived by a brother, James “Mike” Coleman of Canonsburg; son, Richard “Rick” of Monessen; daughter, Terry (Levester) Dority of Mascotte, Fla.; son, Evan of Bethel Park; grandchildren, Ronald Haynes Jr., Darcy (Samuel) Arnold and Larry (Krista) Haynes; step-grandchildren, Eric (Brandi) Simmions, Tracie Dority, Byron Dority; 21 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of lifelong loving friends. Besides her parents, Carole was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Richard Sr.; sisters, Nannie Brown and Linda Walker; sister-in-law, Carol Coleman; brothers-in-law, Franks Rhone, Willie Walker and the Rev. James Brown; and juvenile son, Ronald Hugh Wilson. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Finleyville, followed by services at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Finleyville Cemetery. The Wilson/Coleman families would like to thank Zander Funeral Home, Kegel Funeral Home, First Baptist Church, Cindy for Flowers and for all the many prayers for Carole and the Wilson/ Coleman families.
