Tom Keller (Kunka)
Tom Keller (Kunka) passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. He was born on Feb. 11, 1951, son of the late Jess and Leona Kunka. Tom was raised in Monessen and was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1969. He received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State’s University Park campus in 1973. He was an avid Penn State fan. Before his retirement, Tom was a federal agent with the IRS. He was an active member of the Bible Chapel in Peters Township, where he was a member of the Locker Room Men’s Group. Tom also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, coached girls’ softball, and had been an avid golfer. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria; his son, Jordan Keller and wife Dana of Bethel Park; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Noah Griffin; his stepdaughter, Lauren Dombroski of Cranberry Township; his sisters, Bonnie Kunka of Monessen and Tracy Price and husband Matt of Cramerton, N.C.; his nephew, Dylan Price; and many very special cousins. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2024, at SALANDRA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 304 W. Pike St., Canonsburg. Extended visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray. Services will follow the extended viewing. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens. In honor of Tom’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or a local food bank.
