The Rostraver Public Library, 700 Plaza Drive, Rostraver Township, will hold a pie sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday and continuing while supplies last.

Help the library celebrate this never-ending day and Albert Einstein’s birthday by stopping and purchasing a slice of homemade pie. All pies are baked and donated by the friends of the library group. All proceeds will benefit the Rostraver and Smithton libraries.
California High School Class of 1966 will have its monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Friday at Belle Tavern 1713 Rostraver Rd., Belle Vernon.
Spaghetti dinner to be held at Monongahela First UM Church
A takeout-only spaghetti dinner will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Monongahela, 430 W. Main St., Monongahela.
The cost for adults is $12, children younger than 10 eat free with an adult dinner purchase.

Belle Vernon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 699 will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Naomi Athletic Club.
Monessen library to hosting paranormal research program
The Monessen Public Library will host Laurissa Rex who will present her workshop, “The Tools That Bridge Two Worlds: Paranormal Research 101,” at 11 a.m. March 22.
This is a hands-on workshop that includes a brief presentation on the research equipment used. An interactive session will follow that will captivate both teens and adults. This workshop aims to deepen the understanding of the paranormal in a fun and engaging way.

Friends of Monessen library to meet Monday
The Friends of the Monessen Public Library has scheduled its first meeting of 2025 for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the library, 326 Donner Ave.
The agenda will be the May spaghetti dinner, held at Felicia’s Restaurant and Bar; tickets will be distributed to the members. The public can purchase tickets for the spaghetti dinner at the library or from a Friend, beginning April 1. Also discussed will be the October library luncheon. Rostraver Sportsmen to hold trap shoots/ meeting Monday
The Rostraver Sportsmen and Conservation Association, 539 Cedar Creek Road, Rostraver Township, will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Trap shoots are held from 6 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Saturday, until last shooter.

Diocese of Greensburg to present ‘Know Him: Go to Joseph’
The office of Faith, Family and Discipleship of the Diocese of Greensburg will present “Know Him: Go to Joseph,” on the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, March 19, at Christ Our Shepherd Center, 2900 Seminary Drive, Greensburg. The event begins with a prayer service led by the Most Rev. Larry J. Kulick, JCL, Bishop of Greensburg, in Saint Joseph Chapel.
A presentation on the St. Joseph Altar by Chef Rizzi DeFabo, owner of Rizzo’s Malabar Inn in Crabtree, will be held. DeFabo brings his nearly 30 years of experience in creating a St. Joseph table to Christ our Shepherd Center, where he will explain the various symbolism behind the various breads and sweets on the table and its connection to Joseph and the Holy family.
Those attending will also learn about the importance of creating a space in the home for a family altar.
Registration is free. Attendants are asked to help those in need in the diocese by bringing a non-perishable item (pasta, canned goods, cereal, or diapers) to place at the Saint Joseph Altar as a work of mercy and charity in this Jubilee Year.
