The event is set for March 22 at the Monroeville Convention Center.
A Mon Valley native is bringing a spiritual and holistic event to the area with a “Magickal Minds Metaphysical Fair” for those intrigued by metaphysical, holistic, paranormal, and spiritual realms.
From noon to 8 p.m. March 22 at the Monroeville Convention Center’s South Hall, the free event will include over 120 vendors providing workshops/lectures, tattoos/ henna, psychics and mediums as well as paranormal, “magick” and witchcraft booths.
There will also be specialty and healer vendors, workshops, giveaways and more. A free interactive scavenger hunt for those 18 and older is from 4 to 8 p.m. for a chance to win a paranormal sleepover either at the Shanty Town Spirit Shack in West Virginia or the Bellaire House in Ohio.
The goal of the fair is that it not only fosters connections, but also provides valuable educational opportunities and to create a supportive environment where like-minded individuals can explore and expand their interests, according to Barry Krevokuch, a Charleroi native known professionally as “The Interactive Psychic.”
With over 17 years of experience in both psychology and spirituality as well as being licensed in Pennsylvania, Krevokuch said he has devoted his life to therapy and providing guidance to those seeking clarity and insight. He has also had a paranormal team in the past and attended workshops.
“I’m also a psychic medium and I have a huge interest in the metaphysical and paranormal world, which is why I wanted to create this fair,” said Krevokuch. “What you don’t see very often is fairs that you can attend that bridge all of the categories that we are offering. You can find a fair where you can go shop some spiritual stuff, you can get a reading, but at our fair you’re gonna be able to shop spiritual, metaphysical, holistic, magic and witchcraft and paranormal so we’re kind of bringing everybody together under one roof instead of having to attend different conventions for each of them,” he added.
Krevokuch said he started to have experiences when he was 11-years-old that spawned his interest in the metaphysical arena.
Danina Dibattista of Vespertine Goods and Wearables as well as Vespertine Ventures is a gold sponsor and is helping Krevokuch with consulting for the fair. She will also have a booth, but said it isn’t a competition with other vendors and encouraged people to come out to the event.
“I think Barry has done an incredible job. He’s so creative. I am so impressed. Every time we have a conversation – whether it be with our consulting or whatever, any casual conversation. He is just so creative, he’s coming up with amazing ideas, he is doing the scavenger hunt. He is just giving people such great reasons to come out for the day. I think there’s going to be great entertainment, I think it’s going to be super fun. I think it’s going to be a really cool day to come out and spend time with all of us.”
Krevokuch said there will be businesses specializing in metaphysics and spiritual things as well as a paranormal team, other psychics, tattoo artists, astrologists, speakers and more. Members of Castle Blood in Monessen will also be at the fair.
Steel Goat Marketplace, vendors and platinum sponsors for the fair, said their goal is to be a community hub both inside and outside the fair. They met Krevokuch from a metaphysical fair they hosted, and hope to give people the opportunity to see what they do.
“Working with Barry is wonderful. We really do believe in his vision for the

event and also we’re just 15 minutes away from the convention center there in Monroeville so it’s a really natural fit for us to get involved,” said Darcy Kennedy of Steel Goat Marketplace. “We are actually going to be set up there for the whole event and we are always told that we are Pittsburgh’s best kept secret, well, we’re tired of that. We really wanna shout out from the rooftops at this point.”
Jacqui Giordsano of Sanctuary of Wings and Light said she is an in-kind sponsor, a vendor and a workshop facilitator at the upcoming fair. Her business shares tarot readings, energy healing and mindset coaching and she plans to share that at the fair. She will have a workshop at 3 p.m. at the fair called “Reprogram your mind, change your life” from her program “The Foundations.”
Melissa Scherich of Cutting Loose Salon as well as Haven Holistic Center will also be at the event providing holistic services to people, including ear seeing – a form of alternative medicine that involves placing small seeds or beads on specific points on the ear – as well as a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) mat to help with inflammation, chronic pain and more.
According to Scherich, she and her daughter, who is also trained in ear seeing, will both be at the event. She added that Krevokuch asked her to come out to the event because he was looking for a holistic healing vendor, and while her hair clients may know about holistic healing, not everyone does.
“I think the biggest reason that I’m kind of being pushed out of my comfort zone and doing this is so many people know typical ways of healing and a lot of these other different methods that are out there, a lot of people don’t know about them,” Scherich said. “So I think the biggest thing was Barry saying, like hey, there are a ton of people that you can really help and they need to know that this type of healing exists.”
Krevokuch said his goal is connection, and said that people have reached out to him because they feel like the fair can be inclusive for everyone.
“So I think as somebody that’s attended fairs and conventions, I’m always looking for an event to go to. I think that the magic and witchcraft part of this is really what I am so proud of. I’m bringing that to it because that’s such a taboo topic that many people won’t do things and events because they’re afraid of getting like protesters and things of that sort,” Krevokuch said. “Not to say that I don’t care, but it’s not gonna stop me from bringing magic and witchcraft to the forefront of everything just because other people don’t believe in it or don’t understand it.”
