Betty J. Vlanich, 76, of Charleroi, Long Branch, passed away, Saturday, March 15, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Long Branch, a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Pierce Core. She attended California Area High School. Betty was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed arts and crafts, home remodeling projects and leatherworking. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. On June 7, 1969, she married Ronald F. Vlanich, who survives. They celebrated 55 years of marriage. Surviving are two daughters, Jean Lorick and Kathy Heide (Jim), both of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, William, Sarah (Keith Martin) and Elizabeth Heide; five great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Ruthann, Annabella, Eli and Caleb; and three sisters, Sharon Park, Barbara Orchand and Susan Weglarz (Tom), both of Detroit, Mich.
