Nellie M. Schwartz – North Belle Vernon
Nellie M. Schwartz, 75, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital. Born June 5, 1949, in Star Junction, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Roxie Hayden Schwartz. A resident of the Belle Vernon Area for the past 20 years, Miss Schwartz was a member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church. Nellie was retired from Wal-Mart in Belle Vernon, where she worked as a cashier, was a member of Center on the Hill and enjoyed photography and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing bingo at Washington Township Fire Department for the past 48 years and most of all loved her pet cats. She is survived by sister, Jean Salko of Newell; sister-in-law, Diane Schwartz of Moorhead, Minn; her cat, Rosie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and greatgreat- nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Schwartz. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 to 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, 724-9296183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Wednesday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC., with Pastor Joshua Scully of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church officiating.
