• Matthew James Nowak, 43, of Monessen was charged with intimidation of witnesses or victims, resisting arrest, retail theft, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness stemming from an alleged incident Saturday, court records state. A preliminary hearing before Martin was scheduled for 1 p.m. April 1, and Nowak is being held in Allegheny County Jail unable to post a $3,000 bail.
