Theodore Wukovich Sr. – Fallowfield Township
Theodore Wukovich Sr., 91, of Fallowfield Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2025, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Mike and Mary Heleshitz Wukovich, he was born in Van Voorhis on Aug. 2, 1933. A lifelong resident of Van-Voorhis, Theodore was Protestant by faith. He loved to read and learn, and often enjoyed reading the Bible. Theodore was a “Jack of all trades.” He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, especially tomatoes, masonry work, working on vehicles and rebuilding engines. He looked forward to his Saturday night card games, often serving his homemade banana bread. Theodore had been employed by U.S. Steel, Clairton Works as a riverboat pilot, retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Theodor and Celeste Wukovich Jr. of Monongahela, Michael John and Vielka Wukovich of VanVoorhis, and Philip and Paula Wukovich of Monongahela; a daughter and sonin- law, Deborah and Mike Faryna of Donora; a sister and brother in-law, Rosemary and Stephen Berkich of Fallowfield Township; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lorraine Wukovich, on July 25, 2017; and four siblings, Mildren King, Mike Wukovich, Nicholas Wukovich and Anna Urbank.
